The band will be on stage at the start at 5:30 PM. The crowd whistles, whoops and claps loudly and at a certain point starts shouting ‘Taylor’. Then Dave takes the floor. “Ladies and gentlemen, tonight we are together to celebrate the life, music and love of our good friend, our bandmate, our brother, Taylor,” he said.

The people who knew him well knew that he could make everyone laugh, sing and dance, he continues. “For those who worship him from afar, I’m sure you felt the same.” This evening “we are together with family, close friends, his music heroes and his great sources of inspiration”, the artist proposes, in order to give everyone a ‘gigantic’ evening, for ‘a gigantic’ person. “So sing and dance and laugh and cry and scream and make some fucking noise so he can hear us now.” The crowd then starts screaming loudly.

Then Liam Gallagher kicks off with a performance. Josh Homme, Travis Barker, Chrissie Hynde and Queen’s Brian May and Roger Talyor will also perform at the concert, which is completely sold out. Supergrass, Mark Ronson and Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin will also take the stage. Proceeds from the concert will go to two charities chosen by the drummer’s family: Music Support and MusiCares.

After the performance in London, a tribute will follow on September 27 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
