After releasing a song last year for the Barbie-soundtrack, the British Charli XCX focuses more on itself. With will be published in about a month Brat her highly anticipated new long player. In recent months, the musician has already released some very strong and promising singles with “Von dutch”, “Club classics” and “B2b”. Those songs hit hard time and time again and showed CRASH fades back into the background.
Unlike the previous singles, “360” is not a dance disc, but a calmer song. The song will be the opening track of Brat, so it looks like Charli XCX wants to start slow. The British woman does not immediately get us excited with her new single and even after a few listens, “360” remains a bit disappointing. Not enough happens to keep it interesting for two minutes and a few references (to producer AG Cook, among others) add little to the rather flat song.
Brat will be released on June 7.
