Tom Dice was the support act for Taylor Swift in Vorst Nationaal in 2011. At Qmusic he looks back with great pleasure on that meeting, during which she also signed his guitar.
Next year Taylor Swift will unfortunately skip our country in her European part of the famous Erastour, but she once performed in Belgium. On March 6, 2011 she took part in Vorst Nationaal. In the morning show with Maarten Vancoillie and Dorothee Dauwe, where tickets for Swift’s show in Amsterdam can be won next year, Dice looked back on that magical experience. Where he had also met her briefly. “That whole evening was the max. Let’s hug!, she said, and when we hugged, all the lights suddenly went out. That was quite one awkward moment yes. Does he still have a souvenir of it? “Yes, I have them here (referring to his guitar). I asked if she wanted to sign it.” Finally it landed “Tom, thanks for opening up for us, you did a great job, Taylor. Good luck!” or “Tom, thanks for being our support act, you did a fantastic job, Taylor. Good luck!”
He used them twice, but the text threatened to disappear due to the friction. “My name has already been taken off. Since then I have kept them in the box.”
