Lumberjack Lierop is a one-off and unique musical men’s project in Lierop.
From January 11, men of all ages will rehearse to perform heavy rock songs during the ultimate finale on the Sunday afternoon of Nirwana Garden Party.
An occasional rock band with Lierop’s top musicians will accompany the whole thing – with Jennemieke Snijders as conductor.
Since the project was first announced, more than fifty singers have signed up to take on this challenge.
Men who still want to participate can register until December 1.
Every man who has a connection with Lierop is welcome.
This project is especially intended for anyone who wants to experience what it is like to sing with a large group of men on a large stage, regardless of whether you are an experienced singer or not. The aim is to create a nice mix between experienced and less experienced singers.
Rehearsals are on Thursdays from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM in De Vurherd, starting on January 11 and ending on August 8. With the exception of the carnival week (15 February), the May holidays (2 and 9 May) and the entire month of July (4, 11, 18 and 25 July). There are 24 rehearsals in total.
To cover the costs, a contribution of € 100 is requested from each participant in the project.
Erik Hesius previously participated in the Lumberjack project in Heusden.
