While promoting another movie, Mel Gibson finally shared an update on a movie, which has been a long time in the making: Lethal Weapon 5! Read what the famous actor had to say about it below.
The actor is no longer the youngest. The Braveheart actor was born in 1956 and has now almost reached retirement age. But Gibson is far from done with acting.
He has his sights set on a fifth of the Lethal Weaponseries. In 1987 the first part of Lethal Weapon came out, with a lot of successful parts to follow. And soon part 5 will be released according to Gibson, unfortunately without the regular director Richard Donner (who has passed away).
Gibson’s words about a new part
Gibson told JoBlo during an interview: “It’s being worked on, you know? It’s one of those things where it’s a no-brainer if you ask me. I worked on the screenplay, which of course was started by Donner…”
He continued: “It’s been a bit of a struggle for us to have new management at Warners… It’ll come. I don’t know exactly when, but it will.”
Unfortunately, Gibson was unable to share any further plans.
