After we got to see a first photo of Steven Spielberg’s latest fantasy project The Fabelmans the day before yesterday, a first poster has now also been released in the run-up to its release.
Before the film comes to the Toronto International Film Festival, it’s time for the PR machine to spin. Taking a stylish look at Spielberg’s semi-autobiographical signature, the poster presents a series of photos captured on film reels in a soothing sepia tone, giving each frame a nostalgic, sun-drenched look.
If you look closely, you can see footage of Seth Rogen as Benny Loewy, Paul Dano as Burt Fabelman, Gabriel LaBelle as Sammy Fabelman, Julia Butters as Anne Fabelman, and Michelle Williams as Leah Fabelman.
Together, these images show the different stages of Sammy’s journey to discover his true love for cinematography.
What is the story about?
Set in post-war Arizona, The Fabelmans revolves around the discovery of a shattering family secret and an exploration of the power of movies to help us see the truth about each other and ourselves.
The plot is based in part on Spielberg’s own family and upbringing, giving his fans a loose interpretation of his early days.
