The Japanese superhero Ultraman comes to Netflix with the trailer for Ultraman: Rising. As in the previous versions, we follow a young man who has the ability to transform into a gigantic superhero. Ultraman: Rising this time introduces baseball star Ken Sato.
Ken Sato returns to his hometown in Japan to take over as Ultraman. The story takes a turn when he is given the responsibility of raising his greatest enemy’s Kaiju baby.
Ultraman’s classic powers make him the hero to handle any life-threatening situation. Things become very difficult for him when the baby starts to cling to him and turns the world upside down.
Mainly responsible for the film is Shannon Tindle, known for his animation work on Coraline and Kubo and the Two Strings. The film is co-directed by John Aoshima, known for Kubo and Gravity Falls. The voice cast includes Christopher Sean, Gedde Watanabe, Tamlyn Tomita, Keone Young and Julia Harriman.
