The once intangible Marvel Cinematic Universe has taken a lot of hits in recent years. After the corona crisis, not all productions were well received and this year there was an intensive strike among writers and actors, which brought many productions to a standstill.
For these reasons, Marvel Studios has put the brakes on and all but one film have been pushed back to 2025. In the summer of 2024, only Deadpool 3 with Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman will be released. Filming for the film will start again soon and the date is now July 26, 2024.
Major adjustments
Captain America: Brave New World is also expected to be released next year. The fourth Captain Americafilm has been moved from July 2024 to February 14, 2025. Although the film is almost finished, The Hot Mic reports that the disappointing test screenings mean the film will need intensive reshoots.
Thunderbolts was supposed to be released in December. That film has now been given the date July 25, 2025. Filming for the film will start in early 2024. Blade will go from February 2025 to November 7, 2025.
Positive
The die-hard Marvel fan will have to swallow. The positive news is that four films are now planned for 2025. Fantastic Four keeps its date: May 2, 2025.
The choice may also have to do with the many Marvel films from Sony Pictures. To be published next year Madame Web in February, Kraven the Hunter in August and Venom 3 in November.
