What about ‘Extraction 3’? Netflix boss comments on the blockbuster

Netflix releases a number of films and series every month. Sometimes this also includes Netflix originals, although one of the streaming giant’s biggest hits is undoubtedly the hard one Extractionseries. What about the third part?

Thoractor Chris Hemsworth took on the role of hitman Tyler Rake for the first time Extraction in 2020. Despite the fact that he seems to have given up on the original, he returned for a sequel earlier this year.

Also Extraction 2 was packed with action again. The sequel ends with an open ending, which made it seem like there would be a third part. That is now confirmed. In fact, it is already being worked on.

Scott Stuber, Head of Film at Netflix, commented during a recent interview: “I think the second part was so good as it is an emotional and complex film. It reminds me of the ‘Bourne’ films. Tony Gilroy also made this very emotional with the death of Franka Potente“.
