Netflix will soon release a real tearjerker: See You on Venus. In this film, a young woman who is terminally ill travels to Europe to track down her biological mother. She does not do this alone, but with someone who can also use this adventure to find some peace.
See You on Venus is based on the debut novel of the same name by Victoria Vinuesa and promises to be an incredibly beautiful and moving film. In any case, the story sounds very interesting.
The story
The terminally ill Mia from America wants to travel to Spain to track down her biological mother. She meets Kyle, a young man who was responsible for a fatal accident and now lives with enormous guilt.
Mia manages to convince him to help her. Together they go to Spain where they not only learn more about life, but also fall madly in love with each other.

Perhaps the story reminds you a bit of The Fault in Our Stars (2014). This book adaptation, which deals with similar themes, was also a great success.
