We have no doubt that Rebel Moon will be a hard film to end the year with, but apart from one trailer we haven’t seen much of it yet. That is, until now, because the next trailer is coming on Sunday.
Director Zack Snyder announced this via X (formerly Twitter). He shared this news through a new poster, which gives us a better look at the characters (and spaceships) that Rebel Moon will populate.
The synopsis of the film reads: the epic Rebel Moon is about Kora (Sofia Boutella), a lone wolf soldier who has found community and connection on the quiet farm moon of Veldt. She has come a long way from her previous life fighting for the Imperium, the ruthless interstellar royal empire bent on controlling the galaxy.
But Kora’s violent past is dredged up when sadistic Admiral Atticus Noble (Ed Skrein) comes to Veldt via a Dreadnought-class battleship and causes deadly trouble on the orders of the Imperium’s tyrannical regent, Balisarius (Fra Fee).
In the poster we see Kora among Veldt’s crops with a gun in her hand, surrounded by allies. Above her we see the looming figure of Atticus Noble’s Dreadnought. The tagline reads: “There are no heroes. Only rebels.”
The film is split into two parts. Part 1, A Child of Fire, comes out this December and that’s what this poster is from. Part 2, The Scargiverwill follow later in 2024. The new trailer can be seen this Sunday.
