Despite the fact that Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey was razed to the ground by film critics, it was a box-office success. A sequel is coming, in which Winnie will look even more gruesome than before.
Not so long ago, director Rhys Frake-Waterfield previously announced that there will be more Winnie the Pooh characters in the sequel (such as Tiger, of which a horrible photo has already appeared).
Budget
It doesn’t stop there. According to Waterfield, the budget for the sequel is more than 10 times higher than the original. The first part only cost $100,000 to make, which means the second part will cost more than $1 million.
As a result, we can expect more spectacle and therefore more blood and murder. The special effects and costumes will also look better. Winnie herself also receives an ‘update’.
Grand
Waterfield previously said: “There’s a lot more blood and violence in the sequel. Since we have a larger budget, we could afford much more. One scene, where Winnie uses a bear trap as a weapon, is truly wild. I can’t wait to share this with the world!“
It is not yet completely clear when the sequel will be shown, although it seems likely Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 coming out sometime in February 2024. Until then, we will certainly be treated to new images and images like the one above often enough.
