It often happens that mistakes in a film are overlooked. Sometimes it’s a small detail, sometimes it’s a big blooper. A detail in BlackPanther certainly belongs to the latter category.
BlackPanther was an immense success for Marvel. Not only was the film well received (for example, it scores a 7.3 on IMDb and even a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes), it was also a huge box-office success.
Story
The film takes place after the events of Captain America: Civil War. T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) returns home to the secluded, technologically advanced African country of Wakanda to serve as the new king.
It soon becomes apparent that his claim to the throne is not as secure as he thought and he must work with CIA agent Evertt K. Ross (Martin Freeman) and members of the Dora Milaje, Wakanda’s special forces, to prevent war breaks out.
Support
Not only that. T’Challa can also count on the help and support of his younger sister, Shuri (Letitia Wright). She is very intelligent and designs the latest weapons for her people in Wakanda. She is also the creator of the “Black Panther” suit, as seen in the blockbuster.
Shuri also comes with special shoes for her brother, called ‘sneakers’. This invention ensures that your footsteps do not make any noise, allowing you to move silently without any effort. A handy invention, you would say, if it actually worked…
Big mistake
T’Challa may use these ‘sneakers’ in the blockbuster, but it seems that the sound-editing team of BlackPanther the invention had been forgotten. We just hear T’Challa running and he moves anything but quietly.
