For a long time, Thanos was the big villain of the MCU, but in… Avengers: Endgame he finally died. Fortunately, Kang the Conqueror was in the queue to take over, but now it is far from certain that this will happen…
Thanos was brought to life by Josh Brolin, while Kang is played by Jonathan Majors. However, it is still not clear whether Marvel wants to continue with the actor since he appeared in the news in a very negative way a few months ago.
Court case
Majors, known for, among others Hostiles and Creed III, was sued by his ex-girlfriend for assault. The woman claims the actor punched her when she caught him texting with another woman.
So it is not certain whether Marvel will continue with him, especially if Majors were found guilty. Now a rumor is going around that they may be scrapping Kang completely and replacing him with another well-known villain, namely Dr. Doom.
More
Not only that. According to multiple sources, discussions have taken place between Marvel and the six original Avengers to have them reappear in a blockbuster. This even concerns Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow, both of whom died in Endgame.
This could well be more than a rumor. Marvel is reportedly not very satisfied with the state of affairs and the latest films have been somewhat disappointing. That they are changing course also seems to be the case now that Daredevil: Born Again has been cancelled.
