This weekend, no fewer than thirteen of the sixteen 1/16th finals of the Belgian Cup will be played. For the teams from the BNXT-League it is on the one hand the shortest route to success and on the other hand to a European ticket. An excellent opportunity for a stunt for the teams, especially from the second division.

Tonight, five matches of the 1/16th finals of the Belgian Cup will be contested. Antwerp Giants is going to the Sportcampus in Kortrijk where the ambitious second division team Kortrijk Spurs is waiting. The Spurs include Christophe Beghin, ex-player, assistant and coach of the Giants. On Saturday it is, among other things, looking forward to the performances of second division teams Gembo and Oxaco against Luik and Leuven Bears respectively. On Sunday, first division Limburg United will go to second division Ypres, Okapi Aalst to [email protected], which also plays in second division and Brussels to Falco Gent (second division). Outgoing cup winner Kangaroos Mechelen will go to third division Quaregnon next Wednesday and champion Ostend to LDP Donza on 1 October. In the coming week it will therefore be a matter of watching which of the ten first division players will die in the 1/16th finals of the Belgian Cup.
