Coca-Cola chairs the Belgian soft drink federation

An Vermeulen, the Belgian top woman of Coca-Cola, is the new chairman of the Belgian sector federation of water and soft drinks producers VIWF. She takes over from Bart Peeters, Country Director Benelux of spade.

The VIWF, the Belgian sector federation of water and soft drinks producers, has a new chairman: An Vermeulen, VP & Country Director Belgium and Luxembourg at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners. She replaces Bart Peeters, Country Director of Spadel, who will hand over the chairmanship after two years.

“It is extremely important – especially in these times – to work together as a sector. I am therefore looking forward to further strengthening our Belgian competitiveness and stimulating innovation and, above all, sustainability”, says the new chairwoman.

Vermeulen, who has been heading Coca-Cola in Belgium since August, already wants to work on a number of concrete files, such as the various taxes that stimulate border purchases, sugar reduction and the stimulation of innovation and a circular packaging economy. “We can only tackle many important themes for our sector if we all work together”, it sounds.
