Nacer Chadli has landed in Belgium to take tests at Westerlo

As reported yesterday, Westerlo has an agreement with Basaksehir about the transfer of Nacer Chadli (33). The 66-times Red Devil has landed in Belgium this afternoon to complete his medical and physical tests. The last step, because he already verbally agreed to sign for two years.

And Chadli won’t let grass grow on it. “Jonas De Roeck convinced me of the Westerlo project. I hope to make my debut against Anderlecht on Sunday”, he said to our man at the airport.

A stunt transfer for the Kempenaars, but extra reinforcements were also necessary after the many injuries. Chadli, who no longer fit into trainer Emre Belozoglu’s plans, wants to pick up match rhythm in ‘t Kuipje towards the World Cup, because there is a chance that Roberto Martinez will call him up again. He has to show that he is ready. Last week he scored for his Turkish employer, so he hasn’t forgotten it yet. At Westerlo he also finds Jonas De Roeck, whom he knows from his period at Anderlecht.

Chadli also made time in Zaventem to take a picture with fans.
