New provider of fast charging stations is coming to Belgium

The fast-growing start-up Electra has entered into a partnership with BePark, a specialist in the management of car parks, to expand beyond the French territory. Together they have set up a joint venture called Electra Belux. This company aims to install 1,350 fast charging points in Belgium and 150 in Luxembourg by 2030.

Big players

After an initial installation opened in February this year, Electra has continued to grow. Today, the company delivers 3,500 charging sessions per month and hopes to have more than 8,000 charging stations by 2030. Specialist BePark manages no fewer than 500 car parks and 20,000 parking spaces, mainly in Belgium, but also abroad.

A first charging station in 2022

Together they will focus on car parks of shopping centres, hotels or even restaurants with fast charging points that deliver between 50 and 300 kW of charging power. Their first charging station should open its sockets before the end of this year, but the exact location is not yet known.
