On the catering square, 45 people took part in the workshops on jobs in the catering industry and 78 job seekers inquired with eight employers. The catering square took place on the Operaplein from 31 August to 2 September. It was an initiative of the city of Antwerp, VDAB and Horeca Forma.

Visitors could follow workshops in two mobile kitchens. 45 people took advantage of this opportunity. 15 indicated that they would like to follow a training course at the VDAB or one of the partners. Some of the participants required no training and could be put directly in touch with potential employers.

There was a job date on Thursday 1 September. There were 8 employers and 78 job seekers present. Concrete agreements were made there and trial days agreed.

There are more than two thousand vacancies in the hospitality industry in the city of Antwerp. That is an increase of 101.1% compared to last year.
