The Antwerp police took action against nuisance at various locations in Deurne-Noord on Monday. Twelve illegal dumpers were caught, including a group of young people who threw their fries against the front door of a house.

“On Bisschoppenhoflaan, the team intercepted two mopeds, one of whom was driving around with a deleted license plate,” says Willem Migom, spokesperson for the Antwerp police. “In addition, the vehicles were also staged. A moped even reached 84 kilometers per hour. Both were therefore seized.”

The team also caught twelve illegal dumpers, mainly at various bottle banks and on Wim Saerensplein. “In one case, it involved a group of young people who felt it necessary to throw their fries at the front door of a house. Anyone caught can expect to be fined.”

Finally, a scooter with two passengers was intercepted. “The driver did not have an identity card in his pocket and was not pleased with the inspection. His attitude led to him being taken to the police station until his father came to pick him up,” Migom said.
