When we spoke to Kristof Van Haecke on Friday morning, he was still impressed by the heart-warming reactions he received during his action on Thursday evening. The manager of Bakery Philippe in Westkapelle handed out a full van with goodies to the drivers who have been in their cabs for hours due to the blockades at the Zeebrugge port. “I have several farmers in my family so I understand their anger. Since my son Maxim works for a transport company, I also know how hard life is for truckers,” says Kristof.
