Live is Live, which takes place from June 28 to 30 at Antwerp’s Middenvijver, features a load of new names. For example, Passenger and Intergalactic Lovers join on Friday, Sheryl Crow and Lord Huron add color to Saturday and Gossip and Zornik provide extra guitar violence on Sunday.
The Live is Live music festival was born in Zeebrugge in 2022, but after a successful edition in the summer of 2023 on Antwerp’s Left Bank, the festival will be expanded with an extra festival day for its third edition. In addition to The National, Ben Howard, Tamino and Alvvays, groups that were previously announced, Passenger and Intergalactic Lovers now also appear to be present on Friday.
The first names for the second day of Live is Live 2024 were also announced: American singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow will play in Belgium for the first time in twenty years, thanks to her new record Evolution.
With more than 35 million albums sold and nine Grammys, Sheryl Crow is a rock star par excellence. Lord Huron, known for the song The night we met from the Netflix series 13 reasons why will roll out melancholic Americana again on Saturday. At the same time, day tickets for June 29 can now also be purchased. Saturday’s headliner and more names will join the line-up very soon.
Interpol, Mogwai, K’s Choice and The Smashing Pumpkins were already confirmed for June 30. For the louder guitar work you will have to go to Antwerp on Sunday, because Gossip and Zornik will also be announced that day on Live is Live. With the new album Real power under the arm, Beth Ditto will certainly surprise with catchy punk songs. Koen Buyse and his band can kick off the final day with a playlist full of fans’ favorite songs.
