The farmers’ protest has really reached Limburg today. The Limburg farmers are currently standing at the traffic interchange in Lummen. They drove there in three columns. A convoy also traveled to Lummen from Bekkevoort in Flemish Brabant. The protest would last until the afternoon. The farmers keep one lane free in all directions.

However, both the E314 and the E313 are closed, each time from the last exit before the junction. So you have to leave the highway in Beringen, Industrie-Lummen, Zolder and Lummen-Centrum and then continue via secondary roads. This results in delays of up to half an hour in all directions. It is very busy on the N72 between Beringen and Zolder. The police closed all driveways to the interchange this morning. De Lijn is currently experiencing hardly any inconvenience.

The convoys of tractors left three locations this morning shortly after 6:30 am. About 100 farmers gathered in Ham. 150 tractors came together at Ikea in Hasselt. They were joined by farmers from Tongeren. A convoy also left from Zwartberg. According to the police, around 600 farmers have descended on the interchange.
