The Brussels West police zone (Sint-Agatha-Berchem, Ganshoren, Jette, Koekelberg and Sint-Jans-Molenbeek) is modernizing its look. The light blue uniform makes way for orange colors to enhance visibility and proximity.

“The zone’s operational staff have received new equipment, which is more modern and safer. This includes lighter bulletproof vests and warmer winter coats. The striking orange color should increase visibility,” according to the Brussels West zone. The makeover improves the safety of police officers and makes them more accessible to the public.

Wider and brighter stripes

The traffic department’s motorcycles have also been given a makeover with wider and brighter stripes. “The vehicles are an important part of the traffic service and by increasing their visibility we contribute to strengthening our capacity to increase road safety and respond effectively to emergency situations.”
