In Bissen, the Dutch Under 19 team will face Luxembourg Under 19 on Wednesday, November 15. Three days later, in Wiltz, Azerbaijan Under 19 will be the opponent of the Dutch talents, who will end the group phase on Tuesday, November 21 in Bissen with a match against their peers from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The numbers one and two in this group round qualify for a next qualifying tournament, the so-called Elite round. There is also hope for the team that finishes third: of the thirteen numbers three, one will join the teams that move on to the next phase.
During the Elite Round, which will be played in 2024, it will be determined which countries qualify for the European Championship. That tournament will take place in Northern Ireland in the summer of 2024. The Under 19 team from that country is therefore automatically qualified for the final tournament.
Rafik El Arguioui and Wessel Kooy are on standby for the Dutch Under 19s. This means that the pair are initially not part of the selection, but can be added at a later time.
