The City of Antwerp has once again given seven fashion and design companies a boost. Companies could submit their pitch earlier and receive a financial kickstart of up to 50,000 euros. Among the lucky winners of this round are Okret, Sam Sensory Clothing and Contour Lab x Shavatar.
The amount of money the fashion companies receive is not mentioned in the press release.

Okret, one of the recipients, helps companies set up a takeback system and sell second-hand items. The ready-made recommerce solutions can be implemented in brands’ existing web shops.
Contour Lab x Shavatar is the second fashion project to receive support from the City of Antwerp. The two companies are teaming up to launch an AI Styling & Sizing Advisor. This tool should help consumers find suitable clothing in terms of size, fit and style.
The third company to receive a subsidy is Sam Sensory Clothing. The company makes stimulus-friendly clothing for both children and adults. The money will be invested in the MoodSense collection, which is enriched with scents and colors that promote well-being and communication.
Erica Caluwaerts, councilor for economy, innovation, industry and digitalization, in the press release: “Economy, innovation and creativity form the basis for creating prosperity. That is why it is important to continue investing in innovative entrepreneurship in our city. With this call we support 7 projects that will strengthen the Antwerp fashion and design sector, which will also make Antwerp’s attractive business climate known internationally.”
All projects selected by the City of Antwerp will be completed in 2024.
