Part of northwest France and West Flanders is experiencing flooding as a result of heavy rain showers. Several rivers have burst their banks, including the Aa River.

France

In the French department of Pas-de-Calais, schools will remain closed in 74 municipalities on Friday, November 10. An amount of precipitation that normally falls in a month has already been measured this week.

Belgium

In the Belgian province of West Flanders, a provincial disaster plan has been announced in connection with flooding. A lot of precipitation is again expected there in the coming days, but not as much as in the north of France.
