On behalf of Prime Minister De Croo, and in collaboration with Minister Labhbib and the health and biotech industry, Yools, a Belgian web design agency, has created a progressive and informative online platform (https://healthbiotechvalley.be/).
The website must ensure that Belgium profiles itself even more as a ‘Health and Biotech Valley’.
The aim of this assignment is to emphasize, strengthen and further expand Belgium’s prominent position within the sector. This is done by focusing on the current status of Belgium as a ‘Health and biotech valley’ on the one hand and by looking to the future on the other. Today, Belgium is truly a ‘Health and Biotech Valley’, stated Prime Minister De Croo. “We have played a crucial role with the production of as many as 700 million COVID-19 vaccines and their global export. Together with numerous partners, we provide answers to the challenges of this century.” (Source: Facebook – Alexander De Croo, October 26, 2023)
“It was important to clearly map out the current situation, namely ‘Belgium as the Health and Biotech Valley of today’. The first part highlights the current position of Belgium with an emphasis on the recent successes and the role the country has played worldwide.’” said Kevin Demot, project manager at Yools. Prime Minister De Croo emphasized: ”Our Belgian ambition in the field of health and biotech is great, but so is our impact. We can be proud of the role we play in promoting health in Belgium, Europe and the world. (Source: Facebook – Alexander

“But the future ambitions of our country also had to be clearly expressed with ‘Belgium as the Health and Biotech Valley of tomorrow’. (Kevin Demot, strategist at Yools)
The second part of the website therefore offers a look ahead to the future, highlighting Belgium’s level of ambition in the field of health and biotech. It presents the plans and progress that Belgium will make to maintain and strengthen its position as a leading ‘Health and Biotech Valley’. “Belgium is open for business,” said Prime Minister De Croo. ”In an increasingly competitive international environment, we are strengthening our first-class ecosystem to ensure that Belgium takes its place as the ‘Health and Biotech Valley’ of tomorrow. The website not only provides insight into Belgium as the ‘Health and Biotech Valley’ of today and tomorrow, but also serves as a platform that reflects the pride of Belgium and its global impact in the field of health and biotech. “We are of course very proud of the result and of contributing to the Belgian economy,” Kevin Demot of Yools explained.
