In the night from Monday to Tuesday, cars were set on fire in three different places in Seefhoek. The devastation was extensive: four cars were completely burned out, two were slightly damaged. The Antwerp public prosecutor’s office subsequently started a judicial investigation into the facts. “The laboratory’s findings confirmed that it was arson,” says Kristof Aerts, spokesperson for the Antwerp public prosecutor’s office.
The Antwerp police zone detective is investigating the case and has been able to identify a possible suspect. “The suspect is currently being actively traced. There are elements that indicate that the suspect may have fled abroad,” said Aerts. The public prosecutor’s office emphasizes that there is no link with the criminal drug environment.
