The Antwerp police intercepted a 16-year-old errand boy on Thursday. The team seized a small amount of cocaine and 2,200 euros in cash. The teenager was arrested.
The police noticed a nervous man walking around on Plantin and Moretuslei on Saturday. “He seemed to want to make contact with the anonymous police vehicle, but changed his mind just in time,” says Willem Migom, spokesperson for the Antwerp police. “Eventually he was picked up by another vehicle, but he got out again after 100 meters.”
The man appeared to have purchased 2 grams of cocaine. The driver of the car was also intercepted. “He had 950 euros, 5 grams of cocaine and 14 grams of hashish in his pocket. Another 22 grams of cocaine was found at the man’s home. Luxury clothing was also seized,” says Migom. The 35-year-old man was brought before the investigating judge.
The same team noticed a man looking for a home at Sint-Jorispoort on Thursday. Finally, he visited a building very briefly. It turned out that cocaine had just been delivered. The 16-year-old errand boy was arrested. The police seized 6 grams of cocaine and 2,200 euros in cash.
