It is no secret that luxury brand Bentley is preparing a very electric offensive. What the first electric Bentley will look like, on the other hand, is still a mystery. What is certain is that it will be a real ‘bomb’ that shoots from 0 to 100 km per hour in one and a half seconds.
Luxury brand Bentley hopes to market only electric cars by 2030. The first is expected in two years at the earliest.
CEO Adrian Hallmark has still not released anything about the appearance of the electric Bentley. However, it is a completely new model that will be separate from the current range. It could well be that the new electric car will resemble the EXP 100 GT concept car. “In any case, you will not immediately see from the new model that it is an electric car,” it said.
It will not be a car for people with a sensitive stomach, Hallmark itself admits. Because anyone who starts at full throttle will feel like they are on a roller coaster and will feel a tickle in their stomach. With 1,400 hp, the car would easily accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in one and a half seconds. This makes it the heaviest Bentley and perhaps also the fastest ‘normal’ car. However, according to Bentley, the intention is not to drive fast, but to be able to overtake safely.
It is not known how much the first e-Bentley will cost. Certainly more than 250,000 euros.
