Motorcyclist (21) has a serious fall and dies in a tragic accident on a bicycle highway (Nazareth)

On the bicycle highway near the N60 viaduct, a young motorcycle rider from Nazareth lost control of his vehicle on Sunday morning. He had a serious fall and died from his injuries.

A 21-year-old young man died in a tragic accident on the F45 bicycle highway in the direction of Kortrijk. The man in his twenties was riding his motorcycle when he lost control of his steering wheel near the N60 viaduct. “He fell heavily and did not survive the blow,” police said.

The young man was traveling with a friend who was riding a moped at the time. “His friend immediately notified the emergency services,” the police said. “They did what they could, but no more help could help.” The police would like to express their condolences to the victim’s family and friends.

Several friends also take to social media to express how the tragic news affects them. “A wonderful guy, always with a smile and helpful to everyone! That this has to happen to you. Life isn’t fair,” someone wrote. “I will remember you as a sweet, spontaneous boy. Someone full of life and with wild plans for the future,” writes another.

Mayor of Nazareth Danny Claeys also expresses his condolences. “It is a very tragic and unfortunate accident,” he said. “My thoughts go to the young man’s family and friends.”

The public prosecutor’s office will further investigate the precise circumstances of the accident.
