An elderly driver caused panic at the AD Delhaize supermarket in Pastoor Weytslaan in Kalmthout on Saturday afternoon. The man drove up but made a mistake with the pedal. He pressed the gas instead of the brake. The car hit some posts and then drove into the office next to the store.

The man himself was not injured, but the material damage was considerable. The fire brigade removed the glass and closed the office with a wooden plate.
The Delhaize store remained open to customers the entire time.
