On loan at Sevilla and 1899 Hoffenheim he was only a shadow of his former self. OGC Nice had seen enough and would rather lose Kasper Dolberg. The Danish striker moved to Anderlecht and looks reborn. Dolberg scored for the sixth consecutive competition match against Cercle Brugge on Sunday.
Last season, Dolberg only featured sparingly in both La Liga and the Bundesliga. With only one goal, the former Ajax player’s numbers were nothing to write home about. Brian Riemer kept the faith in his compatriot and brought Dolberg to Anderlecht. The 26-year-old attacker has completely blossomed under the wings of the Danish trainer.
On a visit to Cercle Brugge, Dolberg opened the score in the 37th minute. The attacker cleverly turned away and shot into the far corner. Dolberg scored for Anderlecht for the sixth league match in a row. An impressive statistic, not least because no player from the club has achieved this since the 2008/09 season.

Dreyer and Stroeykens also score
Anderlecht had a simple afternoon in the Jan Breydel Stadium. Even before half time, Anders Dreyer (ex-SC Heerenveen) doubled the score. Dreyer, also from Denmark, beat goalkeeper Wanderson in the same corner as Dolberg. After about an hour, Mario Stroeykens made the decision.

With the victory, Anderlecht continues to compete for the national title. The top club is one point behind Union Sint-Gillis, which will play against Club Brugge on Sunday.
