football 2nd division VV A OVERVIEW
Another changeable weekend for the West Flemish teams in the second national. Mandel United, Oostkamp and Jong Essevee were allowed to celebrate. At the bottom, Jong Essevee achieved a nice victory, passing the red lantern to KM Torhout.
The difference was big for that Harelbeke Saturday evening. On Wednesday at Sclessin, Saturday to Oostkamp. The home team took the lead through Dylan Vanhaeren, but Niels Vandenbroucke restored the balance from the spot. In the end it was a 3-1 victory for Oostkamp. “Wednesday’s fatigue? Maybe,” thought striker Robbe Santens. “But we were mainly not sharp enough and are paying the price for that. That urgently needs to change and we have already said that to each other. We are having difficulty getting to the bottom and we urgently need points.”
Young Cercle went to Dikkelvenne with a significantly changed team. Green-black lost 3-0. “They had adapted to us,” said coach Dwight Waeytens. “They have a lot of experience and we concede goals a little too easily.” Another remarkable thing: Jong Cercle will play at home against Aalst next week, a risk match, it is not allowed in Oostkamp, it is not possible in Bruges and so they have to move to … Torhout.
Bee KM Torhout they won’t get it right for the time being. On Sunday afternoon it went to Wetteren, but KM also returned without points. Just before half-time, the home team took the lead, but Andries equalized on a pass from Devos. But Wetteren took the lead again and in the end it became a tough compromise. KM eventually lost with a heavy score of 4-1.
Finally had to red lantern Young Essevee to Merelbeke. Not an easy task, but Essevee recorded a very nice and important 0-2 victory. In the second half they tookthe young farmers‘ distance after goals from Heyde and a penalty from El Boutaibe. Essevee moves up in the rankings.
