KORTRIJK – On Saturday, December 2, 5 West Flemish microbreweries will visit Atelier Nooitgedacht. A new place in Kortrijk where Ruben Wensink (33) is in charge of creativity. In collaboration with Arn Simoens (38) from the Kortrijk city brewery Ruimtegist, they plan a day full of good beer, tasty tapas boards, a guest speaker and a music group until the late hours.
“Of Atelier Fermente we are presenting our first version of a newer form of beer festival,” says Arn Simoens. “Everything with a beautiful setting thanks to a guest speaker about Kortrijk’s beer history, a good music group in the evening between the brewery stands and snacks provided continuously.”
Atelier Nooitgedacht is located a stone’s throw from Kortrijk station and can therefore easily be reached for the beer festival. “We were already thinking about the idea of a small beer festival in Kortrijk and when Ruben himself came up with the proposal to use his original location, everything came together,” says Simoens. “We consciously choose small, young, starting microbreweries from West Flanders. In addition to our Ruimtegist beers, everyone will also have the opportunity to taste beers from BramBrass from Heestert, Verduyn Bier from Marke, Skollmann from Sijsele and Castalia Craft Beers from Zonnebeke. All beer friends.”
