A demonstration was held in front of the American embassy in Brussels on Wednesday from 3 p.m. Demonstrators came together to support the Palestinian people and called for ‘an end to the genocide.’

Nearly 800 people gathered on Frère-Orbanplein in Brussels, according to the police. The demonstrators then marched to the American embassy at Regentlaan 27. A large sign depicted the faces of American President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, along with the message: “War criminals, child murderers.”

“We are here to demand an end to Israeli terror, which is killing women, men, children and the elderly, with the support of the United States,” one protester said.

The demonstration, organized by Samidoun, a controversial solidarity network for Palestinian prisoners in some countries, aimed to denounce the Israeli government’s violence against Palestinian civilians.

Since October 7, Israeli authorities have recorded more than 1,400 deaths, most of them on October 7, the day of the Hamas offensive. Between October 7 and 30, nearly 8,006 Palestinians were killed in massive bombings by the Israeli army, 41.5 percent of them children. This is certainly the conclusion of a report published on Monday by the World Health Organization (WHO).
