UpdateA fire is currently raging in a clothing store in the Schuttershofstraat in Antwerp, near the Wapper and Meir. “The fire is under control, but we still need some time to get everything safe again. Continue to avoid the area and give space to our colleagues,” reports the Antwerp Fire Brigade.

“The fire may have started in the basement and was quite intense. One victim was transferred to the medical services with smoke inhalation. The fire brigade is still ventilating,” says Jasmien O of the Antwerp Zone Fire Brigade.
