The Belgian royal family celebrated Saturday: Count Charles-Henri d’Udekem d’Acoz, the younger brother of Queen Mathilde, got married to Caroline Philippe. Princesses Elisabeth and Eléonore and Prince Emmanuel were also present and neatly dressed.

The marriage of 37-year-old Count Charles-Henri d’Udekem d’Acoz and Caroline Philippe took place in Pont-L’Evêque in northern France. The ceremony was attended by the family of the Belgian royal couple, only Prince Gabriel was missing. The 18-year-old son of Filip and Mathilde is in the East Cantons, where he is at a camp of the Royal Military School.

Count Charles-Henri is the brother of Queen Mathilde, and the youngest of five children. Mathilde is 49 years old and thus the eldest sister of Charles-Henri. Photos show that the royal family is beaming. The youngest prince, 16-year-old Emmanuel, was neatly dressed in a navy blue suit. Crown Princess Elisabeth (20) and Princess Eléonore (13) wore floral dresses in similar shades. Mathilde was seen in a bright green dress from her favorite fashion house Natan.

The real star of the day was, of course, the bride: Charles-Henri Caroline Philippe’s new wife shone in her wedding dress with a long veil. The children of Hélène and Elisabeth, two other sisters of the count, were bridesmaids.

On Saturday 10 September it will be a party again: then Princess Maria Laura (33), the eldest daughter of Princess Astrid and niece of King Philippe, gives her yes to William Isvy.
