The competition among streaming services is fierce. That is why Disney and Warner are joining forces with a new subscription. By scaling up, the two companies hope to be stronger in the United States.

Sometime next summer you will be able to purchase one subscription in the United States and thus be able to watch Disney+, Hulu and (HBO) Max. The exact date and cost will be communicated later. There will be two versions available: an ad-free version and a cheaper version where you have to endure the adverts.

The two companies hope to make up for the gap with Netflix. Moreover, collaboration also has other advantages. Financially it is much more efficient. Certain costs no longer have to be incurred twice, but only once. Which was a bonus, because both companies recently made significant losses. It also has advantages for the consumer. He increasingly says that he can no longer find his favorite films and series in the jungle of streaming services, which means he has to scroll endlessly.

Series like The bear, Shogun and House of the dragon thus end up under one roof. In addition to streamers MAX, Hulu and Disney+, consumers also receive all content from ABC, CNN, Discovery, Food Network, FX, HGTV, Marvel, Pixas, Searchlight and Warner Bros in one bundle.

The collaboration between two giants is not unique. Last year, the offerings from Showtime, Peacock, Universal and Nickelodeon were also transferred to Paramount+.
