With these five new names, the cast of the second season of ‘Special Forces’ is now complete. At first glance it appears to be a varied group, with some participants having an advantage in terms of fitness as former top athletes. At least, that’s what you would think. “But I recently noticed that even climbing a flight of stairs gave me a high heart rate,” says ex-professional football player Olivier Deschacht (43).

It is noted that the eleven recruits will have to retire. But who can beat the pain and a week of physical exhaustion? And who breaks mentally during the toughest military training that exists at all? “I just hope that I will really encounter myself, because that has never happened before. I want to experience something new, to touch something deep inside that has never been touched before,” TV chef Loïc explains his participation.

Whether Loïc’s personal goal is achieved and how the other ten recruits – here is a list: Davina Simons, Saïd Boumazoughe, Ine Beyen, Ismaïl Abdoul, Jan Bakelants, Gers Pardoelen, Lynn Van den Broeck, Nora Gharib, Olivier Deschacht and Geert Meyfroidt – completed their training as Special Forces, can be seen from Monday, April 22 in the second season of ‘Special Forces’ on VTM, and from April 16 on Streamz.
