Justin Timberlake said during a show that he wanted to “take this opportunity” to apologize to “absolutely no one.” The singer did this before singing ‘Cry Me A River’, a song about Spears.
Shortly before, the singer had posted a message saying sorry to anyone she may have hurt with her memoir ‘The Woman in Me’. In the book she writes about her relationship with Timberlake, which lasted from 1999 to 2002. This is how she became pregnant, but at the time she opted for an abortion. Although Britney would have liked to keep the baby, Justin did not support that. “He said we weren’t ready for a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.” She described the abortion as “one of the most painful” moments of her life. In her book, Britney Spears also confirms that she was dumped via text message. She also wrote that the singer had cheated on her with two celebrities, including Canadian singer Nicole Appleton.
Yet the pop star seemed to regret her revelations for a moment, but she is now coming back to that. Timberlake’s response to her apology does not go down well with Spears. “Do you want to fight it out in court or cry at home with your mother like last time? I have no regrets,” the singer now writes.
