Italian fashion designer Davide Renne has died at the age of 46 just nine days after his appointment as Moschino’s new creative director.
Davide Renne was appointed on October 16 and has been working as creative director at the fashion house since November 1. He replaced Jeremy Scott, who had led the brand for the past decade. Renne previously worked for Gucci. His first collection with Moschino would be presented on the red carpet in Milan in February next year.
Renne died on Friday, November 10, after a heart attack, according to various media. “There are no words to describe the pain we are experiencing during this dramatic period,” said a press release from Aeffe Spa, the Italian parent company of Moschino and Alberta Ferretti.
“Davide joined our team just a few days ago, until a sudden illness took him from us too soon. We still can’t believe what happened. Although he was only with us for a very short time, the forty-something was immediately loved and respected. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.”
