A Ghent actor BN (31) is suspected of raping several women. He drugged his victims and then took them to a kind of ‘sex room’. Everything was filmed. According to the court, the images are disgusting. The man risks 8 years in prison.
The public prosecutor described the actor on Thursday as “sex and drug addict, someone who gets a kick out of rape pornography.” Two of the three victims testified in court about their experiences with suspect BN. He always acted in the same way. The two women met him at a difficult time in their lives and he offered them a listening ear.
N. quickly took advantage of that vulnerable position. He had sexual relations with the women, but went too far. “There have been two dates where my client suddenly felt sleepy,” said the attorney for one of the victims. “She woke up hours later and noticed something was wrong. She had been raped.”
These facts could be seen in photos and videos that the suspect took of the victim. “The images are disgusting and take place in a kind of ‘sex room’. You see the woman lying defenseless on the bed while he goes about his business,” the public prosecutor outlined. “In the meantime, he also looked up videos of rape pornography.”

The second victim experienced something similar. She arranged to meet the suspect. They had a drink together and had a great evening until she suddenly lost consciousness. “He has her GHB (a substance with an anesthetic effect, ed.) administered with the intention to rape her,” the prosecutor said. “That’s what he gets off on.”
Lawyer Jan De Winter defended the suspect. He believed that important nuances needed to be made. “My client had sexual relations with the victims and certain acts were consensual,” he said. “The facts always took place in a drunken stupor of alcohol and drugs.”
De Winter did mention that his client is struggling with a problem and needs to address it. It is not the first time he has come into contact with the law. N. came on the radar years ago for possessing child pornography. The public prosecutor’s office did not demand a lenient sentence on Thursday. He risks 8 years in prison. The verdict will be handed down in two weeks.
