LOOK. A piece of Prince Harry’s video message for ‘Stand Up for Heroes’
In his virtual speech, Prince Harry poked fun at himself, joking that people with red hair, like himself, are an “endangered species.” He also sarcastically says that being someone whose life is never scrutinized, he didn’t have to prepare much. “Everyone I know says the speech is perfect. And no, these are not people who just tell me what I want to hear, these are people like my financial manager, my lawyer and of course my Reiki healer,” the prince says, laughing. Then someone off-screen gave him a script and urged him to stick to it. A woman’s voice is heard, but no one appears on screen. After a few jokes, the Duke of Sussex gives a serious speech and thanks the veterans.
The ‘Stand Up for Heroes’ show is an annual event that raises money to support the Army’s fighting forces. In the video message, Prince Harry also wore four British medals, including three that he received from his grandmother the Queen. He also wore a Royal British Legion poppy.
