What are infectious diseases?

The world around us contains bacteria, viruses, parasites and fungi. Some make us sick. Does such a pathogenic bacteria or virus pass from person to person? Then we call a disease contagious.

Report an infectious disease

The Public Health Act states that institutions must report infectious diseases to the GGD in certain cases. These notifications are called ‘Article 26 notifications’.
