WEZEP – Boys and girls who turn 10 in 2023 will receive an invitation to get the HPV vaccination in March or April. HPV is a highly contagious virus that can cause several types of cancer. The vaccination protects against 6 types of cancer caused by HPV.

HPV vaccination for boys and girls

Girls have been vaccinated against HPV since 2010. An HPV infection can also cause cancer in men. That is why it is important to vaccinate boys so that they are also protected. In addition, vaccination contributes to the protection of the population against HPV and HPV-related cancer: the more people are immune to an infection, the smaller the chance of spread.

Where and when?

The HPV vaccination will be given by GGD Noord- en Oost-Gelderland on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 from 10:15 AM – 4:30 PM (break from 12:00 PM – 12:45 PM and from 3:00 PM – 3:15 PM). Address: MFC Brinkhof, Mariënrade 3 in Wezep.
