Colin Farrell stands up for the Irish
Have you noticed a lot of Irish talent appearing on the big screen lately? The actor Colin Farrell from Dublin certainly does. Three weeks after Ireland’s Cillian Murphy received the Oscar for best actor, Farrell does in an interview with Entertainment Tonight his paean to the creative talent in his homeland. According to the actor, Barry Keoghan, Paul Mescal and Saoirse Ronan have more in common than just their blood: “We punch above our weight. We are only a country of five million, but Irish people have a deep connection with stories.”
Doja Cat stands up for her hair
“I see reactions from people who compare my hair to pubic hair, a carpet or sheep’s wool,” Doja Cat told her followers in frustration via Instagram Live. The hate comments came in response to the cover photo of her upcoming single ‘Masc’, which shows a close-up of her natural curls. “We need to move forward, so let’s stop comparing hair textures to pubic hair,” she ended her plea. It is not the first time that the American rapper has had to deal with online hatred: earlier last month she decided to deactivate her Instagram. That turned out to be temporary for the ‘Say so’ singer.
