Father Jon Voight “very disappointed” in Angelina Jolie: “He who understands the truth recognizes the lie”

American actor Jon Voight criticizes the attitude of his daughter Angelina Jolie in the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Jon Voight and Angelina Jolie couldn’t walk through the same door for years after he cheated on her mother and the couple broke up. After Voight stated in an American TV program in 2001 that Angelina had “mental problems”, contact between father and daughter was completely severed. After several attempts at reconciliation, there was some rapprochement, but in a post on X, Jon Voight again lashes out at Angelina Jolie.

The 48-year-old actress recently said that “what happened in Israel is an act of terror” but that it “cannot justify the innocent lives lost in the bombing of the civilian population in Gaza.” According to Jolie, the Gaza Strip is gradually becoming “a mass grave”, while “the world watches as millions of Palestinian citizens are collectively punished”, according to the human rights activist.

“I am extremely disappointed that my daughter, like many other people, does not understand God’s truths,” the 84-year-old man says in a video, while an American flag appears in the background. “This is about destroying the history of the Holy Land and justice for the children of God. The Israeli army must protect these people.”

“It’s war,” Voight emphasizes. “Those who understand the truth recognize the lie and realize that Israel was under attack” by those “who want to exterminate the Jews and Christianity.” “Not Israel, but Hamas is destroying its own people,” the actor concludes.
