celebritiesPriscilla Presley (78), the mother of the late Lisa Marie Presley, is open about her daughter’s relationship with Michael Jackson. “Lisa Marie was really worried during her wedding,” Elvis’ ex-wife told Piers Morgan.
In 1994, Lisa Marie Presley married the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Their marriage lasted only two years before they split. According to her mother, Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie expressed her concerns about Jackson early in the relationship.
“Michael was afraid of Lisa Marie,” says Priscilla. “He often hid when she was near him. I remember we were in Hawaii and we were walking on the beach together. Lisa Marie spoke to me and said she was really worried about her husband. ‘I never see him, he’s always gone,’ she told me.”
Priscilla asked her daughter where he was going. She replied, “I don’t know, he sometimes even calls me three or four days later.” She then also admitted that Michael was afraid of her and her mother. “Why would he be afraid of me?” Priscilla asked her daughter. “He thinks you won’t like him,” Lisa Marie said firmly. “I hardly spoke to him,” Elvis’ ex-wife explains in the interview. So the relationship clearly did not go smoothly. The two tied the knot on May 26, 1994, and in December 1995, Lisa Marie and Michael announced they were divorcing.
